Hipobuy's terms, one by one

Two details in that table deserve attention. The return window is short: five days from the moment an item is warehoused, counted in hours. If you do not look at your inspection results promptly, you lose the right to return. And the refund for a change of mind is not free: even if the seller offered free shipping, you pay back the first delivery as well as the return.
Hipobuy's written terms are clear and broadly in line with the market; the return clock is the one to watch.
The Trustpilot situation in full
On 10 October 2026 Hipobuy's Trustpilot page showed 764 reviews, 719 of them from the past twelve months, and no score. Trustpilot's text says the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines, and the business record carries a 'fabricated reviews' warning. Trustpilot applies this when it detects practices such as incentivised or selectively invited reviews. In plain terms: the reviews are not a clean sample, so the average would mislead.
That still leaves the content of the reviews. Recent five-star reviews praise low shipping prices, items matching inspection images and delivery in one and a half to two weeks. Recent one-star reviews describe an £80 shipping charge with poor tracking updates after more than a month, a cancelled order whose refund had not arrived by late August, a parcel flagged for return to sender that the buyer had not requested, and a US buyer who spent over $500 and could not log in afterwards. None of these proves a pattern alone, but refund delays appear more than once.
Trust the specific complaints more than any star count, and plan around them.
Strengths that hold up
Hipobuy's free service model removes one of the hidden costs some agents charge, a percentage on every purchase. The Rehearsal Parcel feature on its homepage lets you preview packed weight before paying shipping, which reduces bill shock. A shipping-fee bonus of 4 to 8 percent is advertised. And the company names its operators and addresses, which many agents do not. Spanish, German and French community channels are active, and the official Discord is linked from the site footer.
Weaknesses and how to manage them
The missing Trustpilot score is the obvious one. The short return window is another. Hipobuy also does not publish how many free QC photos it takes, so ask for extra angles for anything that matters. Its customs page asks buyers to make a 'reasonable declaration' and warns that customs risks are the buyer's; in the EU, declarations must match the real value and contents, and that is what we recommend. Finally, refunds go to the Hipobuy balance first, so withdraw or spend them rather than letting money sit.
- Keep the balance low between orders.
- Check inspection results within 24 hours of arrival.
- Pay by card or PayPal for dispute rights.
- Use a line that includes EU VAT and duty.
Hipobuy against the agents its buyers compare
German buyers often weigh Hipobuy against Oopbuy, which carries the same Trustpilot warning; see Oopbuy vs Hipobuy. Spanish buyers compare it with USFans, French buyers with BBDBuy. Agents with clean, shown Trustpilot scores include Superbuy (4.5) and Kakobuy (4.2). The full table is on our agent status page.
Our verdict
Hipobuy is a working, reasonably transparent agent with a credibility problem on Trustpilot that it created itself. It is a fair choice for buyers in Germany, France and Spain who follow the basic precautions: small first order, prompt QC review, protected payment, low balance. If any of those feel like too much, our WhatsApp service handles the buying for you.
Questions to settle before a large order
Before you place an order worth more than a hundred euros, do one small order first and note how long each status step takes, how clear the inspection result is and how support answers a simple question. That small test tells you more about your own experience than a pile of reviews.
