What decides the price
Hipobuy's Service & Fees page says international shipping is calculated by weight, shipping method and destination. On top comes a customs declaration charge, generally ¥10 per parcel. Lines differ in three ways: whether import taxes are included, how fast they are, and which local carrier delivers. Hipobuy's estimate page lets you test a weight and country before buying anything.
Rehearsal Parcel
Hipobuy's homepage announced Rehearsal Parcel as a new feature. In practice this lets you pack a trial parcel, see the real weight and size, and choose a line based on that rather than on a guess. Use it whenever a parcel includes shoes or jackets, where volumetric weight often exceeds actual weight.

If the actual weight exceeds the estimate, the parcel moves to 'Waiting for Confirmation' and you pay the difference before it ships.
Tracking in German, French and Spanish
Searches like 'hipobuy tracking', 'suivi colis hipobuy' and 'hipobuy_tracking' all want the same thing. The tracking number appears on the parcel order once it ships. After the parcel reaches Europe, the national carrier, DHL or Deutsche Post in Germany, La Poste or Colissimo in France, Correos in Spain, bpost in Belgium, usually shows more detail on its own site.
Taxes on arrival
All EU parcels pay import VAT. Since 1 July 2026 parcels up to €150 sent under IOSS also pay €3 duty per different tariff category. Tax-included lines collect this up front. Hipobuy's customs page leaves customs risk with the buyer; declare contents and value truthfully, as the law requires. Our calculator estimates the total.

Volumetric weight in practice
Lines charge by whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric weight, usually length × width × height in centimetres divided by a factor such as 5,000 or 6,000. A boxed pair of trainers might weigh 1.3 kg but measure 35 × 23 × 13 cm, which is about 1.75 kg volumetric at a 6,000 divisor. Removing the box or asking for vacuum packing of clothes can bring the charged weight down sharply. Rehearsal Parcel shows the real measurements before you pay.

When a parcel stalls
Tracking often pauses at two points: after departure from China and at customs in the destination country. A week of silence at either is common. After two weeks, contact Hipobuy's online service with the parcel number. If a parcel is lost or seized, the insurance claim window is 7 days after delivery or 45 days after dispatch, so do not wait too long.
Prohibited and restricted items
Batteries, liquids, powders, magnets and some cosmetics are restricted on many lines. Hipobuy's customs notice says it recommends lower-risk methods based on the goods; listen to that advice. Trademark-infringing goods can be seized at any border and are excluded from compensation.
Insurance in brief
Hipobuy's insurance page describes two abnormal situations it compensates: loss or damage, and customs seizure, under paid and free insurance standards. Compensation is paid to your Hipobuy account balance after verification. Exclusions include force majeure, claims without proof, late claims, theft after delivery, prohibited items and goods confiscated under the law. Photograph damaged parcels on delivery and keep the packaging until a claim is settled.
Shipping to more than one address
Each parcel goes to one address. If you are buying for friends in different cities, build separate parcels or have everything sent to one person and redistribute locally. Separate parcels each pay their own declaration charge, VAT and category duty, so one combined parcel is usually cheaper even after local postage.
Parcel weight bands
Many lines price in steps, for example every 500 grams. A parcel at 2.05 kg can cost as much as one at 2.5 kg. When Rehearsal Parcel shows you are just over a step, removing a box or one light item can drop the parcel into the cheaper band. It is worth a minute of checking before you pay.
